Baby Porter's Newborn Session

A little while ago, I had the privilege of photographing Baby Porter at his home with his parents and big brother Bailey the Dog when he was just a little over a week old. He arrived on the same day as our wedding anniversary, so he chose a good date to be born! :D

It was a beautiful day when I went up to see them, and this little guy was super chilled out and relaxed he was quite happy to have a little photoshoot all on his own too as his mummy wanted. My babies would have pinged their eyes wide open as soon as they were put down at this age. I even snuck in some filming while there which nobody even noticed…the power of stealth, getting the unscripted moments! That was a lovely little surprise to show his mummy and daddy.

I was in awe of the beautiful nursery decor as well. I am not great with creating co-ordinated and cohesive looking room themes no matter how many Pinterest boards or interior design magazines I look at, so I was very impressed with all the little touches here from the cute hand made comforter to the nicely aligned books on the shelf.

I had such a lovely time hanging out with him and his family and watching him make all his little newborn faces and getting to known him. I loved how he liked to pull down his eyelids with his hands while getting his milk, and apparently that was his little thing to do. His cousins came in at the end to meet the new family member, and I loved being able to capture their reactions to meeting Baby Porter, especially the youngest of his big cousins.
